The teachers always told us, when we were in school:
"Remember the Golden Rule."
Don't treat others cruel
In fact, treat em as good as u treat yourself
But once we're in the world, we see it put up on a shelf
There's some people who get no help
No consideration
In what's supposed to be the most diverse nation
Apparently, the prevalent Golden Rule line
is to only help out if your skin looks like mine
provided we don't cross the socioeconomic divide
and I don't have to get down off this high horse I'm astride
Here's what they should have taught us in the schools:
"Whoever has the gold, makes all the rules."
